MB 70

Aluminium MB-70 system is used for arhitectural elements that require thermal and acoustic insulation like verious types of windows, doors, showcases, structural elements, etc.

Profiles have three chambers, window construction depth is 70 mm for the frame and 79 mm for the sash, for doors 70 mm and 70 mm. Profile depth for the sill and frame give an outlook of almost a single surface after closing the window and that of doubling of the sill and frame for the door. This profile shape creates windows and doors with excellent strength and esthetically pleasing. MB-70 system allows for “hidden” sill in the MB-70 US and MB-70 Industrial variants, perfect for modernizing post-industrial, historic and monumental buildings.

Aluminium MB-70 has a low heat transfer due to special chamber arrangement and seals. This profile complies with type 1 materials for windows and type 2.1 materials for doors according to DIN 4108. The thermal bridge looks like an “omega” character 34mm wide for windows and 24mm wide for doors, made out of fibre glass reinforced polyamid. The special shape increases profile rigidity compared to a planar shape and improves water outflow while ensuring thermal insulation in any kind of weather. This special structure provides high thermal insulation without the need for foam insertions.

Sealing is done with two-component synthetic rubber EPDM: masiv and cellular with improved ageing resiliance and a very good thermal insulation. MB-70 is the first system to use such a material for the main gasket.

MB-70 can use glass panes between 21 and 57 mm for windows and between 12 and 48 mm for fixed panels or doors while being compatible with all types of standard and atypical glass.

Aluminium MB-70 system is available in a wide range of colors according to the standard pallette, suitable for any visual concept.

MB-70 system has the “Construction Techniques Institute” (ITB) approval for windows and balcony doors (AT-15-4647/2000).
